T.Y. SPORTS PROGRAMME
A very interesting and exciting sports programme has
been set up for the T.Y. students this year. The students have been
split into three groups and every Thursday each group take part in a
2 hour sports session.
Ty 1 start with the toughest of the 3 categories.
They spend their Thursday afternoons in the Oatlands gym taking part
in different fitness tests.
Ty 2 have it slightly easier as they play football in
UCD every week on the astro-turf. This is great fun for everyone
involved. The class is split into three or four teams and
competitions are held every week between these teams.
Ty 3 go to the gym in Westwood for their PE class on
Thursdays.
The three groups will switch activities after ten
weeks so everyone will get the opportunity to take part in every
part of the sports programme.(Colm Healy).
