           Oatlands are Dublin

 Hurling Champions again!

A last minute point from Barry Mulligan earned Oatlands extra time in this closely contested Dublin Senior Hurling Final against Clonkeen College in Parnell Park which we went on to win by a score of 5-15  to 5-10. Leading by ten points at half-time it looked like we were in for a repeat of the school’s easy victory over our local rivals earlier in the season but Clonkeen have improved significantly since then and two quick goals set up the nail-biting finale. It is Oatland’s first victory at this level since 1984.

Top scorer for Oatlands was Oisin Power  with 1-5, followed by

Rory O Carroll 1-2, Kian Jennings 0-3, Conor Caulfield 1-0, Keith Hogarty 1-0, Baetan Teague 1-0, Barry Mulligan 0-2, David Higgins 0-2 and Nick Devereux 0-1. In a magnificent team performance which relied on every player to contribute their fair share,  Darren Lawlor, Nick Devereux, Eoin Mc Arthur, Barry Mulligan and Jack Doughan in goal, all played

exceptionally well.
