  • U18 Gaelic football

The end came to a brave campaign by the Senior Gaelic Football team as they lost their hard earned quarter final against Old Bawn, Tallaght by a score 2-11 to 10 points at the Thomas Davis G.A.A. Club grounds on Tuesday, 22nd January. Injuries played their part in this defeat as did the concession of two early goals which meant that Oatlands were always playing catch up. The team fought valiantly until the end and were not that far away due to consistent points scoring by David Higgins, Nick Devereux and Gary Murphy.

  • U 16 Soccer

A first half goal by Ronan Carney was sufficient to see the U 16 Soccer team into the South Dublin Final in a tight home game against a strong Clonkeen side on Friday, 1st February. Oatlands’ win could have been more emphatic had a late second goal, claimed by Giovanni Boccarossa, not been ruled out for a foul on the keeper. I t didn’t matter in the end, as Oatlands held their advantage to qualify for the final against Drimnagh Castle.

  • U 14 Soccer

Oatlands gained a magnificent 6-2 victory over James’ St. C.B.S. to progress to the final of the South Dublin U 14 C’ship. Home team excellence, rather than home advantage, was decisive in this emphatic win which featured a hat trick from Conor O Byrne as well as two goals from Mark Murnaghan. Craig Dalton was also on target in this excellent semi-final win on Friday, 25th January.
