Oatlands hurlers got their year off to
a great start with a hard fought victory over local rivals
St. Benildus. Jack Doughan, Philip Denieffe, Conor Caulfield
and Barry Mulligan all kept the scoreboard ticking over
where Kevin O’Loughlin was the star for Oatlands, showing
great skill, with scores from play, frees and a sideline
cut.

u16 Hurling
A spirited second half comeback by the
Oatlands U 16 hurlers (the team were trailing by 1-9 to a
point at half time) wasn’t enough to overcome some key
injuries and a talented Salesian College side in the opening
game of their Dublin Colleges campaign. Stars on the day
were Ken Kelly (0-6), Thomas Clarke and Dillon Mulligan.
Final score Oatlands 0-9 Salesians 2-11.

Oatlands u14 footballers
have started their season in impressive fashion with 2
excellent victories over Clonkeen College and St. Benildus.
The game against St. Benildus was a
tough battle, Oatlands eventually prevailing on a scoreline
of 1-10 to 0-9. Robert Gaughan (1-5), Liam Higgins, Conor
Kilkenny, and the impressive John McCarthy were the scorers
on the day. Captain and centre back Themba Nkoala gave a
great performance, ably assisted by Kerwin Moya and Gavin
Whelan . Other to impress were 1st years Richard
Mulholland, Fionn Geogeghan and Fionn Robinson.
