In January the Sixth Year Biology and Chemistry classes
made the trip to Glasnevin to Dublin City University.
Where they carried out some of the mandatory experiments
on the Leaving Certificate Course, under the supervision
of D.C.U. students and professors. Leaving cert pupil
Sean said "It was certainly a worthwhile experience and
everyone received an excellent recap on some of the most
important experiments on the course."

Second Year students went on a trip to Baltinglass
Adventure Centre where one of the highlights was the
canoeing despite the difficulty of getting the wet suits
on and off! The Simon Says Game taught them how tricky
it can be to stand up in a canoe without losing your
balance while absailing, archery, rock climbing and
orienteering also provided a lot of challenging fun.

Third Year students went on a cycling trip around the
Dun Laoghaire and Dalkey coastline to learn about the
history and topography of the area, accompanied by their
geography teacher Mr. Kelly.

All First year students attended a performance of The
Snowman Movie in the National Concert Hall on Wednesday,
15th December. The R.TE. Concert Orchestra
played the music and narration was provided by Brian
Ormonde. The concert also featured St. Patrick’s Boys
School Choir, including a boy soprano singing ‘Walking
in the Air’, the song made famous by Aled Jones. A
selection of Christmas Carols and performances by solo
artists added to the seasonal atmosphere of the concert
.
